NorseHorse ("we," "us," "our") operates the Jesse! mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's functionality:

• Account information: Username (required), email address (optional), and a hashed password. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple User ID and, if you choose to share it, your email.
• User-generated content: Discussion board posts, replies, fact submissions, shrine photo uploads and captions, trivia answers, and ratings.
• Usage data: Points, leaderboard rankings, trivia completion records, and favorite facts. This data is generated by your in-app activity.
• Push notification token: If you enable daily affirmations, we store your APNs device token to deliver notifications.

2. Information we do NOT collect

• Location data
• Health or fitness data
• Financial or payment information
• Browsing history
• Device diagnostics or crash logs
• Contacts or address book data

3. How we use your information

• App functionality: Displaying content, maintaining leaderboards, delivering trivia and ratings features.
• Content moderation: Reviewing flagged or reported content to enforce our community guidelines.
• Push notifications: Sending daily affirmations if you opt in.

4. Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. Your data stays on our servers.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers operated by NorseHorse. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data — including posts, replies, photos, ratings, favorites, and leaderboard entries — is permanently removed from our servers.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Account deletion is immediate and permanent. All of your data will be removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

8. Children's privacy

Jesse! is rated 17+ and is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17 years of age. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 17, we will delete that information promptly.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (visible in your Profile screen)
• Delete your account and all associated data (via Settings)
• Opt out of push notifications (via Settings)
• Contact us with any privacy-related questions or concerns

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
